If you just generate very few bookings with Booking.com, it is time to re-check your rate strategy and take action by targeting guests from specific regions.

Over half of all bookings on Booking.com are made on a mobile device. By activating a mobile rate at your property, you can tap into this valuable and expanding traveller segment. All you have to do is offer an exclusive discount of 10% or higher for mobile users. Once you’ve done this, a special badge will appear next to your property in search results and on your property page. This helps increase your visibility, and can improve your conversion rate for mobile bookers.

How do Mobile Rates work?

Mobile Rates are discounted rates visible to guests on mobile device – either on the Booking.com app, mobile site or both. A minimum 10% discount is required, but properties can opt to offer mobile users a larger discount. This discount is applied to all of a property’s rooms and rate plans, and it combines with discounts for the Genius programme, as well as any other promotions you’ve set up (with the exception of the Country Rate or Limited Time Deal). Properties can set up 30 blackout days per calendar year, on which the discount won’t be applied.

How to activate your Mobile Rates on Hotel Link Extranet?

Here’s how to set up Mobile Rates for your property:

  1. Log in to the Hotel Link extranet

  2. Click on Booking Engine > Special Offer

  3. Choose Booking.com channel > Create New Special Offer

  4. At the Type field, choose Mobile Rate .

  5. Enter the percentage discount you want to offer at the Rate discount field.

  6. Choose any check-in dates when you don’t want your Country Rate to apply at Excluded Stay Dates field.

  7. Click Save.
